FAQ

The art

Do you accept commissions?
Yes, I do. Feel free to reach out to me with your brief by emailing me at info@vonhspalette.com or reach out to me by filling out the contact form

What kind of commissions do you not accept?
Unfortunately, I don't take on projects that require photorealism. I will also strongly not accept requests to replicate another artist's work.

How long will it take you to release an original painting?
I try to avoid overloading my schedule, as it can lead to stress, which I believe impacts the quality of my work. Instead, I prefer to create when inspiration strikes, giving myself the freedom to explore my art without the pressure of fixed deadlines. This means there are no set release dates for new paintings or collections.

Please note that all items listed at vonh’s palette are produced in limited quantities. Once an item is listed, sales will be on a 'first come, first served' basis —unless a prior agreement has been made before the item is listed.

Do you sell art prints?
Yes! Unfortunately, these prints are limited in quantity. Most prints will be made to order to minimise waste. They are produced by professional fine art printers using an ultra-fine inkjet process on archival-grade paper with a distinctive textured surface. Each print features torn edges and a white border, giving it a vintage, handcrafted feel that sets it apart from standard prints.

Since the prints are created upon purchase, please allow an average of 2-3 weeks for your order to be processed and shipped. Please note that during peak seasons, production and shipping times may be longer. Thank you for your understanding and patience!

For small art prints for my Mail Club, these are printed on smooth matte paper, borderless.

Who owns the rights to your artworks?
All original artwork and any other items on this site are sold under copyright and are the property of vonh’s palette, and may not be distributed or reproduced.

Care Instructions

How do I protect original paintings?

All of my original paintings have been varnished for protection. Depending on the medium, I use different varnishes to best suit the artwork. For acrylic pieces, I typically use liquid or spray varnishes, while for gouache pieces, I like to apply a cold wax made from pure wax and damar resin.

To maintain your painting, simply use a clean cloth to gently wipe away any dust if it’s framed without glass. If available, a soft brush is ideal for dust removal. If any liquid accidentally contacts the painting’s surface, gently dab the area with a clean, dry cloth until it is dry. For the best preservation, I recommend displaying the artwork away from direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure may cause the colours to fade over time.

If artwork requires a retouch, please email me at info@vonhspalette.com.
