Collection: Paintings on dó paper
These are acrylic paintings on traditional Vietnamese handmade paper known as dó paper. The paper is crafted from the inner bark of the dó tree. Lightweight yet incredibly durable, it’s known for its natural texture, resistance to aging, and ability to hold ink and pigment beautifully. This type of paper has been used in many Vietnamese folk art and calligraphy for centuries. I was introduced to them when I travelled to Vietnam back in January 2025 :)
